Water damage can't wait. Neither do we.

Who we are

Local crews who treat your home like our own

Green Choice Water Damage Restoration works out of 30 Lynch St in Huntington Station. That address matters more than it sounds. When a supply line lets go in East Northport at two in the morning, the truck that answers is parked a few minutes away — not dispatched by a call centre in another state to whichever subcontractor picks up.

We cover all of Nassau and all of Suffolk, and we quote drive times honestly by zone rather than promising every address on the Island the same sixty minutes. If you are in Montauk we will tell you three hours, because that is the truth and you deserve to plan around it.

The work is water, fire, mold and storm restoration for homes and businesses — mitigation through rebuild, under one scope with one point of contact. On restoration jobs that go wrong, the handover between two separate contractors is very often where it went wrong, so we do not create that handover.

What we know that matters

Long Island is not a generic market

Most of what we do turns on ground conditions that do not exist elsewhere. The North Shore sits on the Harbor Hill moraine — dense glacial till, deep full basements, water held against foundations long after the rain stops. The South Shore is flat outwash with the water table close under the slab, so losses spread wide rather than deep and pumping to grade can send water straight back at the house.

Nassau is largely sewered. Much of Suffolk still runs on cesspools, which turns a routine gray-water backup into a category 3 contamination event with entirely different containment and disposal. The East End empties out from November to May, so a January pipe failure runs for weeks before anyone opens the door.

None of that is on a franchise training manual. It is the difference between arriving with the right equipment and arriving twice.

How we work

Four commitments we will hold to

A real person answers

Live dispatch, 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Nights, weekends, holidays, during storms. Not an answering service taking a message for the morning.

A written estimate first

Before any work begins, in writing, with the reasoning behind each line. The assessment costs you nothing and there is no obligation attached to it.

Documentation you keep

Photographs, moisture maps and a daily log of readings. It is what carries your insurance claim, and it is yours whether or not we do the work.

Honest cause-finding

We tell you why it happened, even when the answer is that you need a drainage contractor or a septic company rather than us.

Being straight

What we will not do

We will not waive your deductible. It is insurance fraud, and any contractor who offers is making you a participant in it.

We will not sell you equipment you do not need. If your loss is small enough to handle yourself, or if the honest answer is that the cost will not clear your deductible, we will say so. Drying the same basement four times a year is not a service we want to sell you — fixing the drainage is the answer, even though it is not our invoice.

We will not pretend to be something we are not. We are a restoration contractor, not public adjusters and not attorneys. We document thoroughly, write accurate scopes and bill your carrier. We cannot negotiate your settlement or interpret your policy, and when you have reached the point where you need someone licensed to do that, we will tell you and hand over every document we hold.

We will not publish reviews we did not earn. Every review on our profile comes from a real customer who chose to write it.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Are you a franchise?

No. We are an independent Long Island company operating from Huntington Station. The practical difference is who answers and who shows up — with a national brand, the call is routed and the work is often assigned to whichever local operator has capacity, which is why response quality varies so much between jobs.

Do you charge for the assessment?

No. We inspect, find the source, map the moisture and give you a written estimate at no cost and with no obligation. If it turns out you do not need us, that is a perfectly acceptable outcome and we will tell you plainly.

Can you do the repairs as well as the cleanup?

Yes, and we prefer to. Mitigation and reconstruction run under one scope with one point of contact, so nobody is arguing about who owns the moisture readings or who caused a delay. The handover between two separate contractors is where most restoration jobs go wrong.

Will you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We document the loss the way adjusters need it, write the scope in the format they use, and bill your carrier directly so you handle your deductible rather than fronting the full amount. What we cannot do is negotiate your settlement — that is a licensed activity and we will tell you when you have reached the point of needing someone who holds that licence.

What areas do you actually cover?

All of Nassau and all of Suffolk, from Huntington Station. Response times are tiered honestly: 45 to 60 minutes across the core townships, 60 to 90 for Hempstead and Brookhaven, and same-day at two to three hours or more for the East End.

We're here when you need us

Questions before you need us?

Happy to talk it through. Knowing what your policy covers and where your shutoff is beats finding out at two in the morning.
